So this recipe for homemade candy corn for dogs is a sweet, puppy-friendly treat that they can actually enjoy!

Made with only three ingredients: banana, yogurt, and pumpkin, these homemade dog treats are a nutritious Halloween treat that your pup can safely enjoy. Banana and pumpkin are high in vitamins and minerals such as potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin C; and yogurt is a great source of calcium. All three of these ingredients are nourishing and tasty additions to your canine companion’s overall diet.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 small bananas
  • 1 cup plain non-fat yogurt, divided
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • Silicon ice cube tray

    Instructions

    1. Fill ice cube trays ⅓ full of plain yogurt, then place molds in the freezer. Freeze for 1-2 hours, or until yogurt is set.
    2. In a small bowl or glass, mix ½ cup yogurt with canned pumpkin. Stir until combined, then pour over frozen yogurt in ice cube molds, making sure to leave space at the top for the third layer.
    3. Return to freezer for another 1-2 hours, or until set.
    4. Mash banana(s) in a small bowl and stir in any remaining yogurt, then pour over frozen pumpkin layer in mold.
    5. Freeze until set.
    6. Pop treats out and serve as needed.

    Notes

    • Keep treats stored in the freezer to preserve them.
